Psychology

Working from a trauma-informed perspective, I offer individual counselling sessions using an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) approach which includes mindfulness skills and embodiment practices.

The benefits of this form of therapy include;

  • Stress reduction

  • Improvement of mood

  • Anxiety arousal reduction

  • Improved relationships

  • Improved daily functioning due to re-connection of body and mind networks.

  • Improved self confidence

  • Ability to cope more effectively with change and uncertainty.

  • Clarity on goals, values and direction for your purpose-driven life

The beauty of our sessions is that you get to create and find what works for you in the moment - this is not a scripted treatment plan by me before you enter the room. Whether it’s sitting down on a couch, the floor, movement, use of music or art, indoor or outdoor, we can find what helps you express, process and ultimately heal from whatever you feel like is holding you back from living the life you want to live.

  • Indoor/office based sessions available.

  • Remote sessions available via Skype/Zoom.

  • Outdoor/nature sessions also available upon request.

Investment: $177 or concession rate* $155 per session (Medicare Rebates for office-based sessions of $86.15 apply using a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP. You may also be able to claim with Private Health insurance, depending on your particular cover).

*For concession rate to apply a valid concession card or full time student card needs to be sighted in the initial session.
